Stations vary in how complete their records are. A year with zero extreme days (e.g., 0 days below −20°F) may mean it never reached that threshold — or it may mean the station didn't record data on the days it did. Gaps, equipment changes, and station moves can all affect what appears in the record.

The "Record span" in At a Glance shows the date range of available data. Use it as a rough guide to how much of each year was likely observed.
